My target audience is the Youth. This includes teenagers and young adults. I chose this group as a large majority of them have jobs and earn money however most do not have bills to pay and therefore are able to buy products such as a magazine. i did not choose a specific group such as punks, rockers or chavs as i wanted the idea of the magazine to be what is top in the charts at the time. this would then include most popular music genres.
The demographics of the youths are that they are usually potraid by the media as a negative group. They are seen to misbehave all the time course trouble and break the law. Teenagers and young adults are seen to be low down in society. This is because age is a factor in how people are ranked in social standards and the youth are at the bottom. some maybe higher depending on there family. Such as if they were middle class then they would be higher than a working class middle aged man. Due to them being middle class.
They would buy my magazine as it would have the latest information on what is popular at the moment. this means alot to them as the youth always want to know what is popular and what isnt to try to fit in with the rest of their peers. They would also buy it as it will include information on bands that they all like and enjoy as well as articles about events they may want to see.
The adverts that i will have in the magazine will include such things as sports brands like nike or addidas. Clothing, jewllery like watches, after shaves and perfumes, small cars which are affordable, alcohole, movies, new albulms, video games and events.
